A lot has been said about mankind’s footing in history and how it has come to shape present-day life as we know it. However, it is not a big secret that a lot of history is molded after the convictions of the majority, no matter how evident the truth is. 

This practice has sidelined a lot of important historical discoveries that have the power to change history as we know it. Our society’s propensity to rigidly adhere to only that which is accepted by the majority has ended up tagging these discoveries as ‘forbidden archaeology.’

It is not necessary to drastically overhaul one’s beliefs and convictions and embrace this evidence as the ‘only truth.’ However, the sheer impact these archaeological discoveries can have on our understanding of the human civilization’s chronology is alarming and thought-provoking.

This has associated some credence to the theory that it may have been Sumerians who settled in the South American lands, circa 2500 BC. They cannot even simply begin to fathom how the artifact came to exist so far from its place of origin, on foreign land? Some raised the question as to whether the glyphs were doctored recently, if there were any grammatical inconsistencies or not. However, investigations have only managed to further raise their eyebrows, given that the hieroglyphs had deft use of grammatical variations and conventions akin to their Egyptian counterparts.

The finger may be last but not the least by any standards on this list of astounding archaeological revelations. The 38-cm long finger was found in Egypt at an archaeological dig site. The mummified finger raised a lot of questions and eyebrows as soon as it came into public view. At first glance, one might not understand from digitized images why this news is so startling? Mummified remains are common in Egypt, and for all, we know it could have been doctored as well.

However, doubters can rest assured that the discovery is undoubtedly real, thanks to the X-rays which proved its organic authenticity. The same has been vouched for by historians and experts as well. But, the most baffling part in all of this is the fact that the finger is 38-cm long; by scientific standards, it has been theorized that ideally, it must have belonged to an organism that is 5-metres in height!

Even this final pointer in the list only points further at the fact that there is crucial historical evidence out there about our civilization, which is being selectively hidden or revealed to the public. Thus, a lot of information about our civilization and history is still not privy to us because and cast aside as forbidden archaeology in the USA.
